Christmas 2010

This year we took James to see Santa. It was a semi-successful trip. We got good pictures, but only of me and James and Santa because James SCREAMED when I tried to leave him alone in Santa's lap :) Oh well, at least the picture turned out well.

James opening and playing with presents on Christmas morning. Like last year we were able to video chat on the web cam with my parents and Michael's mom so they got to see James open presents. Also like last year James is so loved that he got so many presents that he had a meltdown halfway through opening them and had to finish that afternoon :)

Halloween 2010

Here is James - the cutest little lion in the world - at our ward's Trunk or Treat. James had fun at the little pre-trunk or treating carnival. At the beanbag toss booth, Michael threw a beanbag through one of the holes to show James what to do. So James grabbed a beanbag, ran over to the holes, and carefully placed it in the same hole Michael's went through :) hehe

Then we went outside for Trunk or Treating. I took James around to the different cars while Michael handed out candy at our car. James made it to only three cars before he decided it would be more fun to just run around in circles in the parking lot :) So that's what he did.

These are the pumpkins we carved for Halloween. The first one is mine and the second one is Michael's. I think the turned out pretty good :)

Arts and Crafts Day

We have Park Day on Tuesday, and we go to Music Makers on Friday, so I decided to make Mondays "Arts and Crafts" Day. Here are some of the things we've done.

August 2010

This month my family (Mom, Dad, Cory and Alicia) came to visit. They stayed on our apartment with us, so it was pretty cramped but we loved having them here. We did lots of touristy stuff while they were here - Santa Cruz beach, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, boat tour of the Bay, Muir Woods... - most of which I hadn't been to yet and we've been here almost a year :) It was a very fun week and we were sad to see them go.

This is Alicia standing in the hole James "helped" dig. Every time Alicia scooped out some sand, James threw a handful back in :)
