After 4 looonnnnggg days of driving we finally made it to California! We are living in Sunnyvale, which is in the Bay area south of San Francisco and just north of San Jose. The area is very nice and we really like it here so far. We love our ward - everyone is so nice. The weather is great too! I am so glad to not have to endure another Utah winter :)
Michael started his job working for KPMG at the beginning of October. He works in the forensic accounting department. He enjoys it. He gets to do a lot of cool stuff and make connections with lots of people. He has to work crazy hours sometimes though. One day a couple weeks ago, he didn't get home until 4 am! But usually his hours are pretty reasonable except when he has to go up to the San Francisco office because it's a 1 1/2 hour train ride each way (which he has had to do almost everyday for the last 2 weeks!).
James is getting bigger, learning lots, talking all the time, and chewing on everything!
He started eating solid foods. He loves rice cereal and oatmeal, and so far he will also eat green beans, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
James can easily roll over both ways.
And he can sit up very well now! (However, we do have to put him in a sitting position - he can't get there by himself yet)
And he is just as cute as ever!!
On October 23rd I turned 23! It was a great birthday! We went out to PF Changs (my favorite) for dinner and then had some birthday cake at home. The cake was sooo good! It was chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing, covered in chocolate curls, and sprinkled with cocoa powder! (Can you tell I'm a bit of a choco-holic :) ) For my birthday, Michael got me a new video camera! It's very cool and light and compact, and Michael got a great deal on it too. I love it! I've already taken a bunch of videos of James with it. Most of them are posted on facebook.
