Graduation!!!

Yay! Michael and I are now college graduates! On April 23rd we had Commencement, and on April 24th we had our individual Convocations. My Convocation for the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences was at 8 am.

And then Michael's Convocation for the Marriot School of Management was at 5 pm.

Procession into the Marriot Center (sorry it's a bit blurry - I was kinda far away, and Michael was moving :) )

And oh...my gosh it was the looooongest convocation in the history of convocations! It lasted 3 hours! Everyone was ready to leave before they even got to the bachelor's graduates. Michael said that by halfway through the ceremony all the graduates were down there in their seats texting and talking in their cell phones and no one was paying attention :) And a lot of graduates walked up on stage, got their diploma, and then walked out the door instead of back to their seat.

After Michael's convocation we went out to celebrate at...Tucanos! Neither of us had ever been there and Michael had a free meal coupon for his birthday, so we decided to go for graduation. Boy have we been missing out! The food was AMAZING!!! We both ate WAY too much :)

For graduation, my parents sent us an edible flower arrangement in the mail. It was very yummy! :)

Also we decided to buy ourselves a graduation present...

Easter Festivites

April has been a very busy month, so I haven't had much time to update the blog. So now that school's over and I have nothing else to do, I can go back and talk about all the things that happened this past month.

Over Easter weekend and a few days after, Michael's mother was in town. It was fun to see her and visit with her for a few days. On Easter, we cooked dinner and brought it over to her hotel room and had a nice Easter dinner together. And after dinner we decorated Easter eggs! :) hehe It was really fun. I hadn't colored Easter eggs since I was little. Here are some pictures of our beautiful artwork.

Yay! It's April!

Which means there are only 5 more days of classes (well, of the ones I go to hehe).....only 18 more days until graduation....and only about a month and a half until the baby comes! Oh my gosh I am so excited to be done with school. When I hand in my last final to the people in the testing center, I will be the happiest person alive!

Here are some updated belly pics of me at 33 weeks. He is reaally poking out now! :)

And I got a new hair cut.

Also, on April 1st we celebrated Michael's birthday! He turned 24. I got him a new shirt and a gift card to Lowes (which he has already used up :) ) so he could get stuff to build a background in his new tank. To celebrate, that night we met up with our friends Holly and Steve. We went to Cafe Rio for dinner and then back to our apartment for cake and games.

Here is the cake I made for Michael:

I was pretty proud of it :) hehe The frog on it is one of Michael's favorite kinds of poison dart frog - a cobalt tinc. The reason for the poison dart frog on the cake is that keeping poison dart frogs has become Michael's new hobby. We have 3 of them: Fred, George and Bill :) - they don't look like this one though...ours are green and black. There's a whole lot more about them and pictures of them on Michael's frog blog, so go take a look :)

And we played a new game.... ...that Margaret and Steve got Michael for his birthday. We weren't very sure about it at first because the directions were a little confusing, but it turned out to be really fun! (And I won :) hehe) It was a really fun day, and I'm glad Michael had a great birthday!
